Rebuilt on an original factory L1 chassis no. L0542, this very desireable 6 cylinder has been recently completed and registered with the original number on a Historic Sports V5C.
With newly skinned MG K3 stlye of body, bonnet, front apron, wings, and petrol tank it has been painted in rich burgundy with burgundy leather seats, black tonneau and carpets. New 19" wheels and tyres. Engine fully overhauled with alpine manifold and larger 1 1/8" carbs. New 2 brush dynamo and regulated system. PB gearbox and remote with N clutch. Marles Weller steering.
With the original buff log book held together with the original chassis plate, there is also an interesting history file together with invoices dating back to 1940's. The cars previous owners of over 50 years had enjoyed continental touring until it was last taxed in 1956 when we believe it was then taken off the road.
